An unexpectedly fabulous day with excellent glorious sunshine enhancing the colours - with immaculate coffee, teas and cake provided by Age UK Surrey and their volunteers - all demolished on the day! Age UK also provided all sorts of tips and help for elderly people and their younger relations about interesting things to do to enhance lives as we get older.
Men In Sheds appeared with all their woodwork - hopefully a new centre will be set up locally on the model of that in Ash as well as lots of other information about walking groups, befriending, transport and so on.
The new garden trail - changed for Autumn - looking for leaves, fruits, and especially toadstools and funghi was much enjoyed by adults and children alike, with a prize for completing. Please come and collect your prize or email if you didn't receive one!
We now have a new fascination for funghi - both last year and this year. We have had an enormous variety from a Magpie Inkcap (Coprinopsis Picacea) to the traditional red toadstool (Amanita Muscaria).
